Well, Halloween's this month, so I guess I'll ask
What or who do you think is the lamest monster?

This can be any traditional/generic monster
-ex. mummies, werewolves, the bride of Frankenstein

a specific interpretation of a traditional monster
-ex. the gargoyles in Gargoyles, (yeah right, as if they could ever be lame), Angel in Buffy, the haunted house in Monster House

or any non traditional monster from a story, show, game, or movie
-ex. Crites from Critters, Graboids from Tremors, dare I say Killer Clowns from Outer Space

In contrast you can also name the awesomest monster(s), if there IS such a thing.

My gripe against the ghosts and undead types is that they can hurt you pretty easy, but you can't do much back. I suppose that's what makes them monstrous or scary, but still. Appearing and reappearing, levitating objects, turning into other creatures, increased strength...what is it about dying that gives people friggin' super powers? It's just not fair, is all. You'd think being alive would give you the advantage over the dead, but I digress.

I love all sorts of monsters for different reasons--mummies, werewolves, vampires, even zombies. If I do possess a particular gripe about them, it's the Hollywood brand of any...particularly vampires and werewolves. ESPECIALLY werewolves... what ever happened to the traditional chivalrous werewolf who became the companion of a king?

But I digress. As of the moment, I'm particularly facepalming at Twilight and Underworld werewolves and vampires. And J-horror ghosts.
