So I went browsing through the boys section of Toys 'R' Us. Much to my surprise I found some Transformers that actually weren't Transformers Animated and discovered that it was or is the Transformers 25th Anniversary. So on that note, who's your favorite Transformer (or transformers) out of any toy line, any cartoon series, what have you?
Guess who else turns 25 this year. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, complete with old school inspired toys for the occasion. I still have my old Ninja turtles in a bin somewhere, goofy ones like the rock band, and clowns, and sports. Good times. So yeah, you can reminisce about them too.
I think last year was the year of the Cabbage Patch Kid and the Care Bear.
The quality and durability of toys ain't what it used to be.
Not being totally satisfied with the Anniversary version of Cheetor (who is more like a Beast Wars/ Beast Machines hybrid, he doesn't even have the gun) I ordered a classic style Cheetor from Amazon for a reasonable price. I think I damaged the package trying to pull the thing out of the mail box. I love this one. And oh yeah, it's in Japanese. The box is a keeper. He also came with a card and some other paperwork I can't read.

I remember playing TMNT when I was little (as in pretending to be TMNT) and I got stuck being Donatello when I wanted to be Raph, but this other kid got to be Raph instead. Afterwards, I started paying more attention to Don, and he actually became my favorite. Weird how that works.
One thing that always bothered me is that I never had all 4 of any set of the turtles and I had no "normal" ones, which is why this sucked me in. The anniversary toys each come with punch-out weapons and a CD with one of the first episodes on it (the eps in the Volume 1 DVD). Here's the back of the package. I LOL at the naked Shredder and Krang accessory.
Long live the Rat King.
