Liberty's Kids is a cartoon on PBS that's set in the past and teaches kids history. I've yet to see a complete episode, but I've channel surfed by it a good few times.

hey, dont say history sucks. as an american, i am ashamed of my fellow countrymen who dont even know what happened in the past.
here's an example of my embarressment. (sp?)

teacher: why do you think its important to learn history?
me: cuz history repeats itself and we americans are infamous for our lack of knowledge regarding history. for example, does anyone know what the emancipation proclamaition is?
everyone: ....

That is so perfect with those kids. Even though I've only seen a little bit of that show, I wasn't too fond of it.
